On Saturday the 30th of May at 11.00 hrs, our Nb. 474 was successfully launched at our shipyard in Leer (Germany).

Nb. 474 named as ‘Thun Response’, will be delivered to Erik Thun AB / Thun Tankers from Lidköping, Sweden.

Thun Response is the fifth ship in a series of eight that will be built according to the new R-Class design. These vessels are a further development of the successful E-Class tankers recently delivered to Thun. While maintaining identical main dimensions, the new design incorporates ten coated cargo tanks and focuses on resource efficiency, environmental responsibility and logistical reliability. The vessels are being built to the latest design standards, often exceeding existing and forthcoming regulations.

The general data are as follows:

Ice Class 1A tanker with 10 coated cargo tanks

Loa 115.0 mtr, B 15.9 mtr, Tmax 6.95 mtr

Dwt 7,999 tonnes, cargo volume 9,700 m³

MCR 1,950 kW

Suitable for year-round Baltic service
