GENERAL CARGO
Our general cargo ships are characterized as ‘lean’ designs. They are safe, versatile ships, designed with one essential point in mind: transporting as much as possible in something as compact as possible.
Our long-term partners are established companies and they know what the advantages are of this approach because we delivered large parts of their fleets over the years. Their designs were made in close cooperation, tailored to the operational profiles they have in mind.
For a good impression of our ships please have a look at our portfolio of recent designs covering a complete range of general cargo ships from 4500 DWT to 23000 DWT. All of these ships are either on order now, or were successfully built as series in recent history.
What operational profile do you have in mind? We will be glad to advise you on main dimensions, best suitable bow form, propulsion arrangements, ice-breaking etc., that will suit your needs. Please contact us to discuss!
TANKERS
TANKERS
With some 12 sea-going tankers built over the recent years we have gained a solid expertise in oil / product and IMO chemicals shipping. Established companies know where to find us.
As with the general cargo ships, our tankers distinct themselves as no-nonsense designs that are compact and efficient. Your specific demands in ships’ size, cargo types, segregations and equipment will be translated in tailor-made solutions. Please see our reference product sheets to find out more.
SPECIALS
SPECIALS
In the category ‘specials’ the ships are highlighted that were built and designed with specials trades and purposes in mind.
The self-unloading bulk ships built for Erik Thun AB are a good example. These full block ships are dedicated to carry heavy bulks such as stones, gravel, coal etc. The special scraper and conveyor equipment moves the cargo fully automatic out of the closed holds to the shore, combining increased unloading speed combined with a minimum of dust. Over the years we built 6 of these bulk ships, our latest built presented in the datasheet.
Another special is our series of ‘Trollmax’ vessels that we have built for the same company. These ships are dedicated to transport goods from and to the ‘Vanern’ , the large lakes in interior Southern Sweden, accessible via the ‘Trollhattan’ Canal from Gothenburg. In this canal a set of locks must be passed that form a bottle-neck in this route. We have designed and built several series of ships that were dedicated to exactly fit through these locks with a maximum of cargo deadweight. This was achieved by an extremely high-block hull of light high tensile steel construction. Our latest ‘mark III’ design shows a further improvement, thanks to applying new calculation techniques we achieved more displacement combined with serious reduction in fuel consumption.
And last but not least our ‘Ecobox’ design – built for Symphony Shipping – which is characterized by its flexibility of loading combined with a very economical and ecological performance. The deckhouse is placed on the foreship for better protection of deck cargo and enabling oversized items to be loaded over the stern. Due to the open top notation it is possible to sail in all weather conditions without maindeck hatches to transport large project cargoes without height restrictions. These ships are equipped with 2 cargo cranes.
