We are happy to announce that Erik Thun AB has granted Ferus Smit Shipyards an order for building an additional 4 new vessels.

The contracts exist of two multi-purpose dry cargo vessels of 5100 dwt with Ice class 1B which add to the four previously ordered “Lake Vanern Max” vessels and two 7999 dwt coastal tankers which add to the six previously ordered resource efficient “R-class” tankers. The total of fourteen vessels will be delivered between 2024 and 2027.

With these new orders, we are again able to maintain continuity at our yards during these challenging times. We therefore thank Erik Thun AB for the confidence and look forward to continue our long term relationship in the years to come!
