Cargo Holds & Equipment
2 box shaped holds with slanted sides, closed by pontoon covers. Cargo to be loaded by grabs through opened holds or by elevators through feeding holes in hatches. Self–unloading by shipborn equipment consisting of: Combined longitudinal scraper over full hold length and transversal scraper over hold breadth that can be lowered on top of the cargo. The transversal scraper travels along the hold length moving the cargo to one side, from where the longitudinal scraper shifts it towards the bulkhead section between the holds. A vertical elevator installed in the bulkhead section moves the cargo from the Tanktop onto the deck, from where it is guided by chutes on a movable conveyor belt. The conveyor belt can be slewed over the quay side with a maximum outreach of 30 mtr from CL to deliver cargoes to shore. Maximum unloading capacity abt. 900 ton/h |
